Lion Dance Team

Lion Dance teams are something found in traditional Kung Fu schools. Think of it as a giant puppet operated by 2 people using their Kung Fu skills. The lion dance is usually performed during the Chinese New Year and other traditional, cultural festivals. It may also be performed at important occasions such as business opening events, special celebrations or wedding ceremonies, or may be used to honor special guests by the Chinese communities. We usually perform at events in our community in January and February coinciding with the Lunar New Year. We encourage the older students in our Kids Kung Fu classes to join in and participate.
